The Beauty of Holiness

I was listening to a song – Be Lifted Up by Paul Oakley – and one line stuck in my head.

“Come and worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”

Holiness means being set apart or consecrated to God; dedicated to the service of God. THAT is beauty, according to the Word of God.

How twisted up has this world become in its definition of beauty? The world calls beautiful that which epitomizes the antichrist spirit; the spirit of the harlot drunk with the blood of the saints. That is what the world calls beautiful, and yet we have this stark contrast with what God calls beautiful.

Saints set apart to serve Jesus as Lord, and to worship Him in spirit and truth. That’s what He desires from, and for each one of us.
